Goodbye to Language 3D
Vue Westfield Stratford, 4 November 2014
A major work by a pioneering master of world cinema, Jean-Luc Godard’s Goodbye to Language (Adieu au langage) is about love, life, existence and seeing through the eyes of a dog, and it playfully and mind-bogglingly pushes the medium of 3D, indeed the medium of movies, to places we’ve never seen before.
Given that digital 3D is so integral to this work, we were astonished that Goodbye to Language seemed to be bypassing theatrical release in the UK and going directly to DVD. We were delighted to present this show at Vue Westfield in Stratford City, so Londoners could have a chance to see Godard’s film the way it was intended.
After we booked our show, Goodbye to Language was also booked for a limited London release at Curzon Chelsea and Hackney Picturehouse. Where the Badlands Collective leads, others follow!
